Miami, FL (March 9, 2009) – On Tuesday, March 17th, DON OMAR will premiere “The Chosen: Virtual Diva”, an epic 10 minute mini-film that chronicles his transformation into IDON. The music video event will be exclusively broadcast on Myspace.com, the world’s most visited online social network, before being released to the music video channels. The film is a combination of two music videos that form chapters in the story of IDON. The first being for “The Chosen”, the intro of the new album that captures the essence of the new record’s futuristic concept and the second for “Virtual Diva”, the hit single from the album that has dominated the Latin Rhythm charts in the US and PR since its release at the beginning of the year. “The Chosen: Virtual Diva” music video, directed by Carlos R. Perez (Elastic People), showcases Don Omar’s transformation into a combination of man and machine. A mysterious scientist, portrayed by Argentinean supermodel Ingrid Grudke, performs a series of operations and experiments on the Latin music superstar with the purpose of enhancing his musical and human abilities through futuristic technology. During this process the experiment goes wrong and IDON is born. So begins the beings insatiable thirst for his Virtual Diva. A story of lust and revenge unlike anything seen before. Don Omar’s “IDON” is the most anticipated album of 2009 and will be released in CD/Digital/Mobile formats on April 28.
